Objective

What is the key terminology in well-being tourism? What is Finland’s well-being tourism strategy, mission and vision? What is the significance of art and culture in well-being tourism? What is the role of food in well-being tourism? How do you utilize technology? How do you design, produce and evaluate products and services in this sector?

Study forms and methods

You can use professional terminology of well-being tourism, understand cultural differences between well-being, wellness and medical tourism. You are able to identify the meaning of the culture, the importance of food and nutrition for well-being and utilize the know-how in well-being tourism. You can identify some measuring technologies of well-being tourism and the possibilities to piggyback on technology in well-being tourism. You learn how to design, produce and evaluate experience-based well-being products and services together with enterprises of this field

Student workload

The course is 5 ects, which equals 135 hours of work for the student. You can complete the course entirely individually. After each part (5) there is an exam with different options.
