Objective
You recognize the basic phenomena and the most important quantities, units, definitions and laws related to thermal expansion, heat absorption, heat transfer, gases and air humidity.
You recognize the basic functions, quantities and terms of thermodynamics. You are able to read diagrams and tables of substances. You are able to determine the mass and energy balance of the stationary process. You understand the basic types of heat and power plants and different steam and gas circulation processes.
You are able to apply the concepts to solve problems in the technical field.
You are able to study the phenomena and determine quantities on experimental basis.
Content
What are the basic phenomena and the most important quantities, units, definitions and laws related to thermal expansion, heat absorption, heat transfer, gases and air humidity?
What is thermodynamics and what are the most essential quantities and terms and how are these used in the designing of processes? What are steam or/and gas circulation processes and how does a thermal power plant work?
How can you apply the concepts to solve problems in the field of technical engineering?
How can you study the phenomena and determine quantities on experimental basis?
