Objective

You know the concept of process dynamics and the factors that cause dynamic phenomena.
You know the basics of control technology and know how to apply technology in process control.
You know the different levels of hierarchy of automation and the importance of automation system as part of total automation.

• Process dynamics
• Modeling based on step response and balance calculation
• Block diagram algebra
• Transfer functions and control circuit
• PID control and tuning
• The most common combination controls
• Basic knowledge of automation systems
