Objective

You know what kind of occupational risks there are in different kind of organizations. You know how to apply the principles of occupational safety and health at work. You know how to measure occupational safety and health, and how to evaluate health, safety and accident risks in work environments. You know the tools for the risk management and are familiar with consumer services and consumer product safety control instructions and management.

Content

What kind of occupational risks are there?
How can occupational safety be organized?
How is risk management and supervision provided?
How is monitoring carried out systematically?
How do manufacturers take consumer safety into account?

Evaluation

Students can
a. use professional vocabulary and concepts in an expert way in different situations.
b. evaluate information sources critically.
e. choose appropriate models, methods, software and techniques according to the purpose and justify these choices.
g. apply critically the ethical principles of the professional field in different situations.
