Objective
You learn to appreciate the importance of water globally. You know how clean water is produced for human consumption and for other purposes and how the used water is eventually cleaned. You can choose correct treatment methods for urban and rural areas. You know recent technology and methods used in water systems development. You have some hands on experience of drinking water production or wastewater treatment unit operations.
Content
How is drinking water produced in urban and rural areas?
Which parameters influence the quality of drinking water?
How is wastewater treated and how is the treatment process optimized?
How can models be used in water systems planning and operation?
Evaluation
Students can
