Practical training: Basics of emergency care (10 cr)

Objective

• You understand the characteristic features of the emergency care service operating environment
• You are able to work as a member of an emergency care team
• You understand the responsibilities and obligations of an emergency care expert and you will be able to apply them when providing emergency care
• You are able to assess the patient’s need for care and provide emergency care based on safe operating methods

Content

• Simulation/laboratory practical training, competence assessment 3 ECTS
• Practical training 7 ECTS (5 weeks in emergency care)

Työviikkopohjainen oppimisväylä:
Opiskelija suorittaa opinnot opetussuunnitelman mukaisesti

Opintoja nopeuttava oppimisväylä:
Opiskelija suorittaa harjoittelun työssäoppimisena (palkallinen harjoittelu)

Työhön integroitu oppimisväylä:
Opiskelija anoo (AHOT) opinnoista osasuoritusta aiempaan työkokemukseen perustuen

Student workload

Kokonaisuus 10op eli 270h, josta 7op 190h harjoittelua perustason ensihoidossa.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

Intermediate (if necessary) and final evaluation of the field instructor together with the instructor and the student. Approved / Rejected.
Rejected may, in special situations, be a requirement to be supplemented (= accepted as conditional) by the student, the instructor and the tutor.

Assessment methods and criteria

Hyväksytty / Hylätty ( täydennettävä)
Kenttäohjaajan väliarviointi (tarvittaessa) ja loppuarviointi yhdessä ohjaavan opettajan kanssa.
Arviointi suoritetaan Workseed sovellusta apuna käyttäen.

Basics of emergency care 20 ECTS

Dosage calculations V must be completed no less than 1 month prior to the training period.
