Objective

You show acquaintance with the social and health care structures and organizations, control systems, as well as the current state of affairs and future challenges.
You know the principles of leadership and management in social and health care organizations.
You know how to manage and lead field teams and development teams in your professional field.
You are able to promote quality and patient safety and their development in social-and healthcare field.
You can describe the importance of management in occupational safety, health and well-being from the social and health care perspective.
You show familiarity with the basics of business and entrepreneurship in social-and healthcare field.
You know the requirements of starting health care company and you know how to start it.

Content

How do structural factors and control systems affect the social and health care services in organizations?
How do you manage organisations in social and health care?
How do you manage teams and development teams?
What is a quality and patient safety and how you development those in perspective of management in social and health care?
What are occupational safety and well-being at work, and what are the factors influencing them from the point of view of social and health management?
What opportunities does entrepreneurship give?
What are the basics of managing a business in social-and healthcare?
How do you prepare a business plan?

Evaluation

The student can
a. use professional vocabulary and concepts in an expert way in different situations.
b. evaluate information sources critically.
c. work as team members in working life expert duties and identify and describe the problems of the professional field.
f. promote teams’ goal-oriented operation.
g. apply critically the ethical principles of the professional field in different situations.

Työviikkopohjainen oppimisväylä:
Perehdyt itsenäisesti Learnissa olevaan materiaaliin ja teet tarvittavat oppimistehtävät ja verkkotentin.

Osittaisessa hyväksilukemisessa suoritat itsenäisenä opiskeluna verkossa ne osa-alueet, joita ei ole hyväksiluettu

Opintoja nopeuttava oppimisväylä:
Jos työskentelet terveysalan yrityksessä, organisaatiossa tai korkeakoulun tarjoamassa projektissa, voit suorittaa opintojakson työpaikallasi/projektissa joko kokonaan tai osittain. Tällöin olet yhteydessä opintojakson alussa opintojakson opettajaan ja sovit työpaikallesi/projektille tehtävästä kehittämistehtävästä. Oppiminen edellyttää, että työssäsi perehdyt opintojaksolla käsiteltäviin teemoihin ja hallitset ne sekä teoriassa että käytännössä. Osoitat osaamisesi osaamisen näyttönä, jonka laajuus määräytyy opintojakson oppimistavoitteiden mukaan.

Työhön integroitu oppimisväylä:
Suoritat opintojakson opinnoissa edellä olevan ryhmän mukana.

Assessment methods and criteria

Opintojakson hyväksytty suorittaminen edellyttää opintojaksoon kuuluvien oppimistehtävien ja tentin hyväksyttyä suorittamista. Osa oppimistehtävistä arvioidaan hyväksytty / täydennettävä ja osa tehtävistä ja tentti arvioidaan asteikolla T1 - K5.
