Clinical practice I (5cr)

Objective

You can describe objectives, contents and importance of physiotherapy in multi-professionally operating social- and health care environment.
You can encounter another human being in health care environment and create therapeutic interaction with her or him.
You know how to identify and evaluate movement and functional ability of different age groups.
You know factors affecting movement and functional ability of a human being.
You know how to operate in a client-oriented way in physiotherapy situations.
You know how to use physiotherapy methods in guiding individuals and groups.

What is it like to work as a physiotherapist in social and health care working environment?
Which factors of human encounters do you take into account in health care interaction?
How do you identify and evaluate human movement and functional ability and factors affecting them?
How do you promote human movement and functional ability with physiotherapy methods?
How do you take into account client-centered approach in physiotherapy?
How do you reflect your own actions in health care environments?

Study forms and methods

Työviikkopohjainen oppimisväylä:
Osallistut työjärjestyksen mukaiseen työelämäharjoitteluun.

Opintoja nopeuttava oppimisväylä:
Jos työskentelet terveysalan yrityksessä, organisaatiossa tai korkeakoulun tarjoamassa projektissa, voit suorittaa opintojakson tai moduulin työpaikallasi/projektissa joko kokonaan tai osittain.

Työhön integroitu oppimisväylä:
Mikäli sinulla on aiheeseen liittyvää aikaisempaa osaamista, voit hyväksilukea opintojakson vastaavalla työkokemuksella joko kokonaan tai osittain (osaamisen näyttö, jos ei ole todistusta).

RDI and work-related cooperation

Harjoittelussa työmäärä viikossa on 40 h, kolmen viikon kokonaistyömäärä harjoittelupaikassa on yhteensä 120 h. Kokonaisopintopistemäärä on 5op.

Assessment methods and criteria

a. käyttää johdonmukaisesti ammattikäsitteitä
b. etsiä tietoa alan keskeisistä tiedonlähteistä
c. hahmottaa tehtäväkokonaisuuksia
d. toimia asiakkaiden, käyttäjien, kohderyhmien kanssa
e. käyttää keskeisiä oman alan malleja, menetelmiä, ohjelmistoja ja tekniikoita
f. toimia tiimin jäsenenä tavoitteellisesti
g. perustella toimintaansa oman alan eettisten periaatteiden mukaisesti.

Qualifications

Attending the course requires that learning outcomes of the first year studies and course “Physiotherapy interventions III” have been reached.
