Advanced respiratory and cardiovascular physiotherapy (5 cr)

Objective

You can deepen your knowhow of physiotherapeutic evaluation to support cardiovascular and respiratory client´s rehabilitation as a learning process.
You can take into consideration specific features of cardiovascular and respiratory diseases and benefit from multi-scientific knowledge when implementing therapy and guidance.
You can apply evidence-based means of cardiovascular and respiratory assessment of your load level and physiotherapy, utilizing differential diagnosis and clinical reasoning.
You can show your expertise of physiotherapy in multi-professional teams supporting a client’s functional ability and health-promoting life style.

Content

How do you choose, justify, and use assessment methods for performance and load levels to support customer’s targets?
How do you support client’s ability to evaluate her/his own progress at various stages of rehabilitation?
How do you develop and implement the progressive and right-tier training program for cardiovascular and respiratory clients at various stages of rehabilitation by aligning it with the client's intellectual resources?
How do you guide and support your customers and their close ones to make use of the potential of living and social participation?
How to co-operate multi-professional with cardiovascular and respiratory diseases in specific issues related to illnesses

Evaluation

You are able to
a. use professional vocabulary and concepts in an expert way in different situations
b. evaluate information sources critically.
c. work as team members in working life expert duties and identify and describe the problems of the professional field.
d. evaluate operations in customer, user and target group situations.
e. choose appropriate models, methods, software and techniques according to the purpose and justify these choices.

Study forms and methods

Työviikkopohjainen oppimisväylä:
Osallistut opetukseen opintojakson aikataulun mukaisesti. Opiskelusi rytmittyvät itsenäisesti tehtävien oppimistehtävien mukaan.

Opintojakson oppimistehtävät suoritetaan itsenäisesti verkko-opintoina ja verkkokeskusteluna.

Timing of exams and assignments

Opintojakson hyväksytty suorittaminen edellyttää opintojaksoon kuuluvien oppimistehtävien hyväksyttyä suorittamista. Oppimistehtävät arvioidaan hyväksytty / täydennettävä. Hyväksytty tulee olla tasoa H/3.

Opiskeluon Itsenäistä verkko-opiskelua ja oppimistehtävien tekemistä sekä keskusteluihin osallistumista.

2. Hengitys-ja sydänkuntoutujan suorituskyvyn testaaminen (1,5op)
3. Hengitys-ja sydänkuntoutujan harjoitusohjelman laatiminen (1,5op)
4. Hengitys-ja sydänkuntoutuksen soveltaminen (1,5op)

Opiskelija perehtyy Learnissa olevaan oppimateriaaliin ja annetut oppimistehtävät erillisten tehtäväksiantojen mukaisesti yllämainituista teemoista.
