Objective

You can work professionally in different physiotherapy contexts with individuals and in group situations.
You are able to combine the basic knowledge of client-oriented physiotherapy planning, implementation and assessment to the musculoskeletal, respiratory, circulatory and neurological physiotherapy.
You are able to use and justify the methods of physiotherapeutic examination, evaluation and influencing at different stages of physiotherapy processes.
You are able to support clients' participation in promoting their own functioning in their own environment.
You are able to describe physiotherapy as a part of clients’ rehabilitation processes and multi-professional cooperation.
You can account for individual resources and effects of life phases on wellbeing at work.
You can choose, justify and use evidence-based physiotherapy methods to support and promote occupational wellbeing.
You can evaluate your own skills and actions in different work situations.

Content

How do you assess clients’ abilities in the framework of international ICF (International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health)
How do you support clients’ functions with different assistive devices and technological solutions, advising them to make use of environmental opportunities?
How do you motivate clients to promote their health and functions with the feeling of empowerment?
How do you assess workers’ resources and apply physiotherapy methods to empower workers?
How do you assess workload and how do you affect the factors that appear in them?
How do you act as a physiotherapist in a multi-professional team?
How do you evaluate your own expertise as a physiotherapist in relation to your own and course targets?

Evaluation

Students can
a. use professional vocabulary systematically.
b. look for information in the key information sources of the field.
c. identify interrelated tasks.
d. work together with clients, users and target groups.
e. use the key models, methods, software and techniques of the professional field.
f. work as team members in a goal-oriented way.
g. justify their actions according to the ethical principles of the professional field.
