What does the nursing science basis mean in gerontological nursing?

What are health sciences and their connections to gerontological nursing?

What is nursing science and what does it focus on?

How can nursing theories be used in health promotion of elderly people and in gerontological nursing?

What are the principles in nursing care?

What are the basic nursing methods in gerontological nursing work?

What is ergonomics and why is it important?

How to implement ergomical patient transfer?

What is rehabilitation work and how to implement it?

Assessment criteria level 3: entry-level know-how and skills
Students can
a. use professional vocabulary systematically.
b. look for information in the key information sources of the field.
c. identify interrelated tasks.
d. work together with customers, users and target groups.
e. use the key models, methods, software and techniques of the professional field.
f. work as team members in a goal-oriented way.
g. justify their actions according to the ethical principles of the professional field.

Study forms and methods

Työviikkopohjainen oppimisväylä:
Toteutetaan työjärjestyksen mukaisesti. Sisältää luennot sekä harjoitukset. Gerontologinen hoitotyö koostuu orientoivasta ja keskustelevasta aloitusluennosta sekä work shopista (pakollinen läsnäolo) ja on ajoitettu keväälle 2021. Hoitotaidot koostuu luennoista sekä harjoituksista (läsnäolo pakollinen) sekä ergonomian harjoituksista (pakollinen läsnäolo), ja on ajoitettu syksylle 2020.

Työhön integroitu ja nopeuttava oppimisväylä:
Opiskelija valitsee opintojakson aikaisemmassa vaiheessa opintoja tai hänellä on koulutusta ja työkokemusta hoitotyön perustaidoista sekä suoritettuna terveys- tai hoitotieteen opintoja yliopistossa, suoritettuna voimassa oleva Potilassiirtojen Ergonomia-kortti

Opintojakson osien arvioitavat kohteet, menetelmät ja perusteet esitetään opintojakson osien alkaessa. Aktiivinen osallistuminen lähiopetukseen sekä annettujen tehtävien suorittaminen hyväksytysti.Palaute annetaan ryhmäpalautteena.
