Objective

You know the wound management principles in health care and are familiar with the care of foot ulcers and offloading in wound care.

What kind of methods of local and special wound care are used?
How do you do wound offloading?
What are Total contact cast and geisha shoe?
What is multidiciplinary team work in wound care?

Evaluation

Students can
a. use professional vocabulary and concepts and show their information-based know-how.
b. use the basic techniques of searching information in specific situations
d. take customers, users and target groups into consideration.
f. work as team members.
g. observe the ethical principles of the professional field in their actions.

Study forms and methods

Työviikkopohjainen oppimisväylä:
Osallistut työjärjestyksen mukaiseen opetukseen ja ohjaukseen. Opiskelusi rytmittyvät työjärjestyksen mukaisten ryhmätapaamisten ja itsenäisesti tehtävien oppimistehtävien mukaan.

Opintoja nopeuttava oppimisväylä:
Suoritat opintojakson jonkun muun ryhmän mukana tai mahdollisuuksien mukaan verkkokurssina.

Työhön integroitu oppimisväylä:
Mikäli työskentelet terveysalalla jalkaterveyteen liittyen, voit mahdollisesti suorittaa opintojakson osittain omassa työpaikassasi. Tällöin sovellat mahdollisuuksien mukaan työtehtäviäsi jalkaterapian näkökulmaan. Sovit opettajan kanssa osa-alueista jotka voit suorittaa työssäsi ja loput osa-alueet suoritat verkkoympäristössä tai muun ryhmän mukana esimerkiksi lähitunneilla. Oppiminen edellyttää, että työssäsi perehdyt opintojaksolla käsiteltäviin teemoihin ja hallitset ne sekä teoriassa että käytännössä. Osoitat osaamisesi koululla annettavana näyttönä, jonka laajuus määräytyy opintojakson oppimistavoitteiden mukaan.
