Evidence-based practice (5 cr)

Objective

You know what evidence-based practice is, the factors that promote it, and the factors that prevent it.
You understand the role of a clinical expert in promoting evidence-based practices.
You are able to critically evaluate and utilize relevant evidence in nursing to improve clinical nursing processes and outcomes.

What is evidence-based practice?
Where can I get the strongest evidence?
Which factors promote or prevent evidence-based practice?

Evaluation

Students can
a. acquire and critically evaluate multidisciplinary and evidence-based information in clinical nursing
b. solve demanding problems in clinical nursing practice development
c. evaluate and independently manage the activities of individuals or groups
e. evaluate and justify the use of evidence-based strategic approaches to clinical nursing

Lisäksi opiskelijat hakevat itsenäisesti tietoa aihealueesta tehtävän mukaisesti.

Opiskelija voi hakea AHOT -menettelyllä hyväksilukua aiemmilla opinnoilla.

Opintojaksolla tehtävän tehtävän voi kytkeä oman organisaation kehittämistoimintaan. Tehtävän aihe tulee omasta organisaatiosta / työpaikalta.

Timing of exams and assignments

Opintojaksoon ei kuulu tenttiä.
Opintojaksolla tehdään yksi ryhmätehtävä, mikä esitetään seminaarissa.
Tehtävän palautusajat on laitettu Learn-kurssialustalle.

- PICO(T) ja sen harjoittelu (2 h)

2. Kirjaston pitämä tiedonhaun opiskelu ohjatusti (4 h)

3. Vapaaehtoinen tehtävän työstämisen ohjaus (2 h)

4. Tehtävän esittäminen seminaarissa

Assessment methods and criteria

Tehtävä arvioidaan asteikolla 1-5.
Suomen kielen opettaja arvioi tehtävän raportoinnin ja tiedonhaun kuvauksen osalta.
