Objective

You understand the basics of redundant networks.
You understand the principles of hierarchical scalable networks.
You are able to maintain and monitor the data network of a company.
You are able to use the most important troubleshooting methods.

Content

How do you confirm the operation of a network?
What do you do when the network should be expanded?
How do you act in the event of a failure in a network?
How do you design the IP subnetting of an enterprise network?

Evaluation

Students are able to
a. use professional vocabulary and concepts in an expert way in different situations.
b. evaluate information sources critically.
c. work innovatively and independently in working life expert duties and creatively identify and solve the problems of the professional field.
e. choose appropriate models, methods, software and techniques according to the purpose and justify these choices.
f. promote teams’ goal-oriented operation.

Study forms and methods

Osallistut työjärjestyksen mukaiseen opetukseen ja ohjaukseen. Opiskelusi rytmittyvät työjärjestyksen mukaisten ryhmätapaamisten ja itsenäisesti tehtävien oppimistehtävien mukaan.

Kokonaismäärä on 135 tuntia, josta noin puolet on lähiopetusta. Lähiopetus sisältää luennot, laboratoriotyöskentelyn ja loppu- sekä näyttökokeen.
