Objective
You learn:
- the basics of clothing/fashion design: the effect of silhouette, proportions, rhythm, cut lines, colour/colours, decorative motives as well as the effect of chosen materials in the three dimensional form and design and further on to the image and looks of an garment/outfit
- the principles of a design brief, objectives and requirements, the factors leading to the target and the whole of the design process with different phases
- the terminology of clothing/fashion design and various creative solutions for the given assignment
- recognize and understand different alternative solutions and analyse phenomena that happen in colours, materials and structures during different time
- sanalyse changing trends in fashion and in visual styles on a broader scale
- strengthen abilities to forecast upcoming trends
- adopt commercial trend information for designing products for various customers and target groups
Content
