Objective

You show familiarity with organization and management in work communities. You are capable of defining the responsibilities, tasks and roles of a manager. You are capable of describing different theories and styles of managership. You are capable of describing the main challenges in managerial work and evaluate your own managerial abilities.

Content

Which are the different managerial styles and organizational models? How do managerial tasks comprise? Which are the main challenges in managerial work in the tourism and hospitality field? Which are your own strengths and needs of development in managerial work? 

Study forms and methods

Työviikkopohjainen oppimisväylä:
lähiopetukseen osallistuminen. Lähitunneilla teemme paljon harjoitteita ja käymme läpi teoriaa. Lähitunneille osallistuminen 80%, koska asioita opetellaan paljon käytännön harjoitteiden kautta.
Opiskeltava materiaali perustuu Moodlessa olevaan aineistoon ja muuhun tunnilla esitettyyn aineistoon

Opintoja nopeuttava oppimisväylä:
Mikäli työskentelet jossakin yrityksessä tai yhteisössä on sinulla mahdollisuus integroida oppimistehtävien tai ainakin osan niistä suorittaminen työpaikallesi. Opetusmateriaalina toimii Moodlessa esitetty aineisto sekä muu mainittu materiaali.

Työhön integroitu oppimisväylä:
Sinulla on mahdollisuus suorittaa opintojakso verkkototeutuksena, jolloin itse omaksut Moodlessa olevan materiaalin ja teet oppimistehtävät esitettyyn teoriatietoon perustuen.
