Objective
After you have completed the study course you
* recognize different periods of style history
* can apply the knowledge of the style history in your own work
* recognize different stages of cultural study
* able to use both working and research methods of cultural study
* recognize the main features of the Finnish historical living culture on the basis of ethnology
* recognize main features of customs
Content
- How to define the chronology of style history from Antique from 20th century?
- What are the characteristics of different periods of art in architecture and interiors?
- What is the definition of concept of culture?
- How to make the structural analysis of culture?
- What are the chance theories of culture?
- What kind is the theory of Finnish ways of living in the past (dividing the land, villages, yards, buildings)?
Evaluation
