- you learn basic information and basic skills relating to the most significant wood materials and methods, as well as wood-based materials and methods
- you identify the properties of various wood species and wood-based materials and know how to process them in a suitable way
- you know how to appropriately use wood and wood-based materials

What property demands do different materials have and how do they affect the choice of manufacturing technique?
What kind of wood or wood-based material is the most suitable in terms of manufacture, function and use?

Designing and manufactures a wood product from forest to product during the course on the basis of a product concept that you have created. Further development of the plan in terms of manufacturing methods and materials. Familiarity with traditional and computer-aided manufacturing. Use and application of wood-based materials in the manufacture of the product. A more detailed description of the task on the Learn platform.

The course includes the cost, because the wood product manufacture containing materials and manufacturing costs. In addition, the course relates to travel expenses due to visits.
