Objective

After you have completed the course you
- know the basic principles of documentation and investigation in the conservation/restoration of objects and interiors
- are able to write a basic restoration plan and documentation report
- are able to add the information of the documentation photography and the samples taken to the restoration report
- know different methods for the investigation of paint layers and how to take samples for cross sections
- know how to make cross sections and the basics of microscope photography
- are capable of measuring with different equipment and document the information in an appropriate way
- can photograph the whole subject and its details * can draw freehand

Content

- How are restoration plan and research reports made?
- What is color documentation, especially of paint layers?
- What are the basics of microscope photography?
- How to draw technical drawings on the basis of measures, photos and sketches of objects/ interiors?

Evaluation
