Objective

After you have completed the course you
- know the main materials and techniques used for the conservation and restoration of historical interiors and artefacts
- understand the ethical aspects of the restoration process
- understand the fundamentals of entrepreneurship as they apply to the restoration process
- know how to make the right decisions ethically and professionally in different situations
- know how to master the whole conservation/ restoration process

Content

- How to apply special techniques in conservation/restoration objects, such as gilding, decorative painting and marquetry?
- How to plann the conservation/ restoration of different materials present in historical interiors?
- How to analyse different materials to support planning and work of project?

Evaluation

Basic knowledge and skills in restoration documentation and basic techniques are required.
