Practical training: Professional basics of nursing 2 (6 cr)

Objective

Clinical nursing
• you know the basics of the human body structure, functions and regulating systems and the underlying factors
• you are able to respond to a specific need of care with proper nursing methods and document them applying structurally coherent classification
• you are able to apply the Finnish Nutrition Recommendations in the prevention and care of Finnish national diseases

Evidence-based practice and decision making
• you are able to utilize nursing-related research results in your decision making
• you know how to carry out data search using the most common health science database

Evaluation

Assessment criteria level 3, competence during the completion phase.
You know how to:
a. use professional vocabulary and concepts in an expert way

e. choose appropriate models, methods, software and techniques according to the purpose and justify these choices

Study forms and methods

Työviikkopohjainen oppimisväylä:
Hoitotyön ammatilliset perusteet harjoittelu 2 on 6 op = 4 viikkoa työyksikössä tapahtuvaa kliinistä ohjattua työharjoittelua.
Harjoitteluissa keskeistä on huomioida opetussuunnitelman tavoitteet ja henkilökohtaiset tavoitteet. Harjoittelut voivat edetä oman suunnitelman mukaisessa järjestyksessä ja harjoittelupaikoissa huomioiden, että edeltävät teoriaopinnot ja laboraatio-opinnot on suoritettu.
Osaamisen näytöt oppilaitoksessa ja Lääkelaskut 1 oltava hyväksytysti suoritettu 1 kk ennen harjoittelun alkua.
Polkuopiskelijat voivat mennä harjoitteluun, kun edellisten lisäksi on myös soveltuvuuskoe suoritettu hyväksytysti. Harjoittelupaikan varaus tehdään vasta kun soveltuvuuskokeen tulos on tiedossa.

Mikäli sinulla on Lähihoitajan (tai vastaava) tutkinto ja sen jälkeen vähintään vuoden työkokemus, voit hakea harjoittelusta hyväksilukua osaamisen tunnistamismenttelyn kautta (aikaisemman osaamisen näyttö).

RDI and work-related cooperation

Kliininen harjoittelu toteutuu: hoivakodeissa tai tk-sairaaloiden osastoilla (jotka ottavat perushoidon harjoitteluun)
Harjoittelu suoritetaan jos mahdollista Kymenlaakson alueella. Haminan sairaalan kuntoutus- ja jatkohoidon osasto, Kotkan hoivayksiköt (Eskola, Karhuvuorikoti, Hovinsaaren hoivakodit), Kouvolan hoivakodit, Kymen Hoito- ja kuntoutuskeskus Hoiku (Hamina), Lauttarannan kotiutusyksiköt (Poukama ja Valkama) Kouvolassa, palvelukoti Mikeva Kotkassa, yksityiset hoivakodit.
Harjoittelupaikat vartaan Jobiilijärjestelmän kautta erillisen ohjeen mukaan.

Student workload

Yksi työharjoitteluviikko tarkoittaa 38h kliinistä työharjoittelua työyksikössä, 4 viikkoa on yhteensä 152 tuntia työharjoittelua.

Assessment methods and criteria

Harjoittelun arviointi perustuu opintojakson yhteisiin sekä opiskelijan henkilökohtaisiin tavoitteisiin.
Työharjoittelun arviointi koostuu:
Opiskelijan kirjallisesta itsearvioinnista
Ohjaajan antamasta kirjallisesta arvioinnista
Ohjaavan opettajan kirjallisesta arvioinnista/arvosanasta
Työharjoittelussa harjoittelun ohjaajan antama jatkuva palaute ohjaa tavoitteiden saavuttamista.
Työharjoittelujaksosta käydään yhteinen arviointikeskustelu ja arviointi kirjataan jakson arviointilomakkeelle tai sähköisen arvioinnin Workseed -alustalle.
