Objective

You become familiar with the Finnish service system for child protection and legislation.
You identify different life situations of children and families and are able to assess the need for child protection.
You know the principles of child's best interest.
You identify the stages of the child protection process.
You become familiar with the ethical principles, work orientations and methods of working with children, young people and families.

What legislation applies to child protection?
What is the service system of child protection?
What can cause the need for child protection?

Study forms and methods

Työviikkopohjainen oppimisväylä:
Lukujärjestyksen mukainen toteutus. Toteutuksen aikataulu ja sisältö tarkentuvat myöhemmin. Kontaktiopetus alkaa viikolla 38.

Opintoja nopeuttava oppimisväylä:
Jos työskentelet alan yrityksessä, organisaatiossa tai korkeakoulun tarjoamassa projektissa,
voit suorittaa opintojakson tai moduulin työpaikallasi/projektissa joko kokonaan tai osittain.
Tällöin olet yhteydessä opintojakson alussa opintojakson opettajaan ja sovit
työpaikallesi/projektille tehtävästä kehittämistehtävästä. Oppiminen edellyttää, että
työssäsi perehdyt opintojaksolla käsiteltäviin teemoihin ja hallitset ne sekä teoriassa että
käytännössä. Osoitat osaamisesi osaamisen näyttönä, jonka laajuus määräytyy opintojakson
oppimistavoitteiden mukaan.

Työhön integroitu oppimisväylä:
Mahdollisuus tehdä tenttipaketti ja tehtävät. Opettaja kertoo suoritustavat ensimmäisellä lähikerralla.

5 op tarkoittaa n. 135 h opiskelijan työtä. Opintopisteet jakaantuvat seuraavasti:

Opiskelija osaa a. käyttää johdonmukaisesti ammattikäsitteitä b. etsiä tietoa alan keskeisistä tiedonlähteistä c. hahmottaa tehtäväkokonaisuuksia d. toimia asiakkaiden, käyttäjien, kohderyhmien kanssa e. käyttää keskeisiä oman alan malleja, menetelmiä, ohjelmistoja ja tekniikoita f. toimia tiimin jäsenenä tavoitteellisesti g. perustella toimintaansa oman alan eettisten periaatteiden mukaisesti

Assessment methods and criteria

Kokonaisarviointi perustuu tentin arvosanaan. Lisäksi tehtävät arvioidaan hyväksytty/täydennettävä.
