Objective

After the course you have skills:
to work with clients in social work within the framework of social rehabilitation.
to apply the rehabilitative work approach and methods in mental health work.
to guide and support mental health clients of different ages in their rehabilitation processes.
to guide clients in the service system of mental health work.

What is orientation of mental health work in social work?
What are the special characteristics of mental health work with children, the youth and adults?
What kind of methods of helping and ways of work are used to support good mental health?
How does the service system operate in mental health work?
How is rehabilitation supported in mental health work?

Evaluation

Students can
use professional vocabulary systematically.
search for information in the essential sources of the professional field.
work together with clients, users and target groups.
use essential patterns, methods, programs and techniques of the professional field.
justify their actions according to the ethical principles of the professional field.

Luennot 1 op, tehtävät 2 op ja tenttiin valmistautuminen sekä tentti 2 op.

Assessment methods and criteria

Luennot arvioidaan hyväksytty/ täydennettävä, oppimistehtävät asteikolla 0-5 ja tentti asteikolla 0-5. Opintojakson kokonaisarvosana koostuu 50 % tehtävistä ja 50 % tentistä.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4)

a. Osaat käyttää johdonmukaisesti ammattikäsitteitä.
b. Osaat etsiä tietoa alan keskeisistä tiedonlähteistä.
d. Osaat toimia asiakkaiden, käyttäjien, kohderyhmien kanssa.
e. Osaat käyttää keskeisiä oman alan malleja, menetelmiä, ohjelmistoja ja tekniikoita.
g. Osaat perustella toimintaasi oman alan eettisten periaatteiden mukaisesti.
