Sisältö

Lectures and demonstrations on principles and alternatives of environmental monitoring. Principal techniques of waterways, air quality, emissions, soil and groundwater monitoring. using chemical physical and biological methods are discussed as well as the ecological condition and methods of remote sensing. Whatmeasuring instruments are used in measuring environmental data and data inthe processing technology field.

You will learn the reasons for monitoring the environment and what are the key methods for analyzing the environment. You know how samples are correctly drawn, how they should they be handled and
how sampling regimes should be planned. Further How you learn how digital data is retrieved from various sources and its validity verified. You also gain hands on experience on retrieving and analysing environmental data from example databases.
