Objective

1. You are able to use different kinds of percent applications of finance mathematics and the terms of interest, loan and index mathematics.

2. You are familiar with compiling, studying, modeling statistical information and with applying models related to statistics.

Content

How do you calculate interest on the loan and taxes in a business?
How do you calculate the profitability of investments?
What do different statistical terms mean?
What kind of estimations can you make based on a sample?

Evaluation

Based on the entry-level know-how and skills students can
a) use professional mathematical concepts proficiently in different situations.
b) evaluate information sources critically.
e) choose appropriate models and methods and justify these choices.
