Objective
After completing this course you are able to
• define and identify elements of culture and interpersonal and global communication;
• compare and contrast cultures, values, beliefs, perceptions, and communication styles;
• recognize negative perception: racism, prejudice, negative stereotyping and ethnocentrism;
• analyze intercultural interaction and evaluate situations on the basis of intercultural communication;
• communicate and collaborate with different people and cultures in the increasingly global and interconnected world.

What is culture?
What are values, beliefs and (negative) cultural perception?
How to recognize cultural differences by comparing the elements of one's own culture to other cultures?
How to communicate effectively in intercultural contexts?
Evaluation
Students are able to use professional vocabulary and concepts systematically
Students are able to work as team members in a goal-oriented way in intercultural case studies and group discussions
Students are able to apply critical thinking and ethical principles of the professional field in different situations
