Community and homecare nursing (5 cr)

Objective

Client-orientation
• you are able to evaluate the clients’ resources and support them in the planning, implementation and assessment of their care
• you know the importance of cultural backgrounds in nursing and you are able to encounter clients from various cultures
• you understand the special features of the Russian culture
• you are familiar with the Russian models of operation in your line of work

Ethics and professionality in nursing
• you are able to produce, share and utilize expert competence in multidisciplinary teams, networks and partnerships

Clinical nursing
• you are able to use various methods in the psychosocial support of a patient
• you are able to administer and evaluate safe pharmacological treatment in the care of different diseases

Evidence-based practice and decision making
• you are able to evaluate the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and assess nursing interventions according to the decision making process
• you are able to actively utilize research knowledge (recommendations, reports based on research evidence) in nursing decision making relating community and homecare nursing

Patient education competence
• you are able to manage patient education as part of the nurse’s work in community and homecare nursing

Promotion of health and functional ability
• you are able to plan, execute and evaluate interventions promoting health and functional ability on an individual, group and communal level utilizing multidisciplinary and multi-professional networks

Assessment criteria level 3, competence during the completion phase.

Study forms and methods

Työviikkopohjainen oppimisväylä:
Yhteisöhoitotyö ja kotisairaanhoito 2 op: Luennot, itsenäinen opiskelu, ryhmätyö, harjoitustunnit ja verkkotentti.
Rokotusosaamisen perusteet (2 op) suoritetaan verkkokurssina. Ennen verkkokurssin alkamista pidetään infotunti ja johdantoluento (läsnäolovelvoite).
Monikulttuurinen hoitotyö (1op): luennot , ryhmätyöskentelyä & arvioitava tehtävä.

Työhön integroitu oppimisväylä:
Aiemmat yhteisö- ja kotihoidon opinnot; osaamisen tunnistaminen.
Monikulttuurinen hoitotyö , 1 op, voidaan suorittaa kirjatenttinä Exam-tenttitilassa.

Timing of exams and assignments

Yhteisöhoitotyö ja kotisairaanhoito 2 op: Verkkotentti opintojakson toteutuksen lopuksi. Uusintatenttimismahdollisuus opettajan ilmoittamana ajankohtana.
Rokotusosaamisen perusteiden (2op) verkkotentin voi uusia kaksi kertaa valitsemanaan aikana.
Monikulttuurisuuden (1op) kirjantentin (opintoja nopeuttava oppimisväylä) voi uusia kaksi kertaa Exam-tenttitilassa.

Monikulttuurinen hoitotyö (1op)
- Työviikkopohjainen oppimisväylä: Tunneille osallistuminen ja muistiinpanojen tekeminen sekä tehtävä, joka arvioidaan (1-5)
- Opintoja nopeuttava oppimisväylä: Kirjatentti (arviointi 1-5)

Rokotusosaamisen perusteiden (2op) verkkokurssi on hyväksytty/hylätty.
