Opiskelumateriaali
Principles of Physics, Halliday, Resnick, and Walker, Wiley. 8th or newer edition.
Tekniikan fysiikka, Edita. (in Finnish)
Lecture notes, homework and lab work tasks are on the Learn platform. Lab work are done in groups of three students and the results are collected in single report.
Yksilölliset oppimisväylät
You will attend teaching and guidance sessions on campus as specified in the weekly schedule.
Your study routine is determined by the scheduled group sessions and by the self-study assignments. You will do the labs in small groups of three students. There is one final exam at the end of the course.
TKI ja työelämäyhteistyö
There is no planned co-operation with companies.
Tentit ja muut määräajat
Final exam and lab report submission at the end of the course. Only one report from the small group.
Kansainvälinen yhteistyö
No co-operation
Opiskelijan työmäärä
One credit point is counted to be 27 hours of student work. In reality this can be different depending how the groups share the work load. This is 5 cr course, so total is 135 h, of which 60 hours are worked in a classroom and labs. Homework, exam preparations and report writing takes the rest of the time.
Toteutuksen osien kuvaus
Theory exam is individual part and lab work is group work. All members of the group get the same amount of points from lab work, which is counted together with the exam points.
Further information
Physics lab work does not require any special clothing or equipment.
Evaluation scale
1-5
Assessment methods and criteria
Lectures and laboratory exercises are collected to a lab report. One final exam.
The actual dates will be checked at the beginning of this course implementation.
