These basic skill include for example taking body measurement and working with clothing size charts, working with ready made clothing patterns, how to handle fabrics before and after cutting and how to read standardized seam drawings while working with different seams and edge finishes.

The work will be conducted in the textile studio space during the module with close contact with the teacher. During the study module the student will work with several small assignments which are to be turned over to the teacher either during or at the end of the module.

The student may negotiate possible substitutions for the assignments at the start of the module if they have earlier clothing or textile studies or broad knowledge through recreational activities.
