Objective

You can survey functional ability extensively and through its subparts.
You are aware of the factors influencing functional ability.
You understand the key factors affecting the reliability of physical therapy assessment (validity and reliability).
You are able to justify the choice of appropriate assessment methods and their connection to the implemented physiotherapeutic procedures.

Content

What is human functioning and which are the factors influencing it?
How can you assess and evaluate human functioning, mobility and physical performance of different age groups?
What are the factors affecting the reliability of the physiotherapeutic assessment?
How does the assessment of functioning, mobility and physical performance guide the planning and implementation of physiotherapy processes?

Qualifications

Attending the course requires that the learning outcomes of the courses Anatomy, physiology and biomechanics and “Physiotherapy interventions I” have been achieved.

Materials

Information systems and documentation in health care, 5 ECTS credits
Professional English, 5 ECTS credits
Physiotherapy interventions II, 10 ECTS credits

Evaluation

Students can
a. use professional vocabulary systematically.
