Objective

You know the mechanisms and risk factors of common musculoskeletal, central and peripheral nervous system, and respiratory and circulatory system dysfunctions as well as their effects on locomotion and functioning.
You know and can define appropriate methods used in physiotherapy for the planning, implementation and evaluation of the physiotherapy process by considering evidence-based professional recommendations.
Based on clinical reasoning, you can evaluate and draw conclusions about the client's functional ability and the dysfunctions affecting it.
You recognize and can consider the client's individual goals, resources, functional strategies and living environment at various stages of the physiotherapy process.
You can consider the possibilities and importance of the physiotherapy operating environment in supporting the client's rehabilitation.

Qualifications

You are familiar with the Finnish rehabilitation service system, and you know the basics of creating a client-specific rehabilitation plan, as well as the regulations and the methods used in physiotherapy.
You recognize the individual and life course factors affecting the client's rehabilitation process.
You can observe and assess the client’s basic movement and functional capacity with the key assessment methods and meters used in physiotherapy.
