Students can
- use professional vocabulary systematically
- evaluate information sources critically
- choose appropriate models, methods, software and techniques according to the purpose and justify these choices
- apply critically the ethical principles of the professional field in different situations
In addition, competence evaluation according to STCW code table A-II/2 column 4 are used:
- crew are allocated duties and informed of expected standards of work and behaviour in appropriate manner
- operations are demonstrated to be in accordance with applicable rules
- operations are planned and resources are allocated as needed in correct priority to perform necessary tasks
- communication is clearly and unambiguously given and received
- effective leadership behaviours are demonstrated
- necessary team member(s) share accurate understanding of current and predicted vessel state and operational status and external environment
- decisions are most effective for the situation
