Opintokokonaisuus muodostuu: sosiaaligerontologiasta, geropsykologiasta, koulutusgerontologiasta, terveysgerontologiasta ja geriatriasta

Yksilölliset oppimisväylät
Työviikkopohjainen oppimisväylä:
Opintojakso toteutetaan työviikkopohjaisena. Opintojakso jakautuu kahdelle lukukaudelle, joista geropsykologia ja sosiaaligerontologia ovat syksyllä 2021 ja koulutusgerontologia sekä terveysgerontologia ja geriatria keväällä 2022. Itsenäisesti tai ryhmässä tapahtuvaa työskentelyä, luento, opetuskeskustelu, oppimistehtävät, yhteistoiminnallinen oppiminen.
Työhön integroitu oppimisväylä:
Opiskelija on suorittanut vastaavan laajuiset ja sisältöiset opinnot yliopistossa tai korkeakoulussa.

Sosiaaligerontologia syksy 2021:
Osaamistavoitteet:
- Ymmärrät vanhuuden elämänvaiheen erityisyyden ja moniulotteisuuden.
- Osaat jäsentää vanhenemisen yksilön ja yhteiskunnan tasolla ja hahmottaa näiden tasojen välisiä yhteyksiä.
- Olet tutustunut sosiaaliseen toimintakykyisyyteen.
- Verkostoidut eri toimijoiden verkostoihin ja tutustut erilaisiin hankkeisiin ja projekteihin liittyen ikääntyviin ihmisiin.
Opintojakson suoritettuaan opiskelija: Tuntee eri ikääntyneiden parissa toimivia kansallisia ja kansainvälisiä verkostoja, soveltaa seniori- ja vanhustyössä monitieteellistä tietoperustaa ikääntyvien parissa tehtävään työhön tuoden sosiaalisen ja sosiokulttuurisen näkökulman moniammatilliseen seniori- ja vanhustyöhön. Osaa toimia sosiaaligerontologisesta viitekehyksestä käsin osaten käyttää voimaannuttavaa työotetta.

Miten vanheneminen koetaan, mitä on kokemuksellinen vanheneminen?
Millaista vanheneminen on yksilöllisenä, kulttuurisena ja yhteiskunnallisena ilmiönä?
Minkälaisia kysymyksiä liittyy iäkkäiden työhön ja harrastustoimintaan osallistumiseen?
Mitä on sosiaalinen toimintakyky?
Minkälaisia sosiaaligerontologisia teorioita on ja mikä on niiden merkitys vanhustyössä?
Erilaisia verkostoja kansallisesti ja kansainvälisesti.
Geropsykologia 2 op syksyllä 2021, johon sisältyy aloitusluento ja work shop, opettaja Merja Laitoniemi.
Koulutusgerontologia 2 op keväällä 2022, johon sisältyy aloitusluento, välitapaaminen ja work shop
