You are able to perform the basic drug dosage calculations required in the treatment of a patient.

How do you calculate the dosage if the drug is administered by enteral routes?
How do you calculate the dosage if the drug is administered by injection?
How do you calculate the dosage based on the patient's weight?
How do you calculate the relative concentration in a dosage?
How do you calculate the dosage if solid substance is converted into liquid?
How do you reduce the concentration in a dosage?
How do you calculate the administration rate of intravenous medication?

Drug dosage calculation 2: Clinical training 1
Drug dosage calculation 3: Clinical training 2
Drug dosage calculation 4: Family and community nursing training
Drug dosage calculation 5: Specialisation training (registered nurses), Basic training in emergency care (emergency nurses), Training in public health care (public health nurses)

Accomplishment methods

The course is assessed on the scale of pass/fail.

The student must achieve a 100% score in dosage calculation.

Drug dosage calculation 1 is integrated in the Basics of clinical nursing (must be completed 1 month prior to the practical training period of Professional basics of nursing).

Drug dosage calculation 2-5 must be completed 1 month prior to the related practical training periods.
