Objective
Having completed the study unit the student - knows factors related to an old person's learning - knows central concepts of education gerontology - knows principles of teaching and guiding an aging person in different situations and environments - knows methods of teaching and guiding an aging person - knows psychic changes of aging, old people's psychic and social ability to function - knows the main concepts and research targets of psycho-gerontology - knows the special features of being old - is able to analyze the meanings of gerontological theories - is able to feature becoming old at the level of an individual and society and understands relations between these two - has familiarized with the progress of individual and interpersonal changes, effects and factors affecting these - knows the interaction between illnesses and the changes in health state of the process of getting old - has familiarized with the main causes and progress methods of old people's illnesses, their prevention, treatment and rehabilitation
