Location and time

Completing studies quicker takes place by choosing independent methods of study. These can include, for example, online courses or courses from other student groups’ timetables. Completing assignments through this track involves more independent work and learning compared to the scheduled track.

Scheduled track:
Students attend instruction and counselling according to the timetable. Studies follow the timetable of contact classes and assignments that are completed independently.

Blended track:
Completing studies quicker takes place by choosing independent methods of study. These can include, for example, online courses or courses from other student groups’ timetables. Completing assignments through this track involves more independent work and learning compared to the scheduled track.

Opiskelijan työmäärä

Opintojakson laajuus 5 op = 135 tuntia opiskelijatyötä, joka koostuu lähitunneista sekä itsenäisistä ja ryhmätehtävistä.

Opintojakso keskittyy terveydenhuoltoalan sanastoon ja viestintätilanteisiin. Lähitapaamisilla pääpaino on suullisessa kommunikoinnissa ja sanastovaraston laajentamisessa, verkkotehtävät kehittävät työelämässä tarvittavia kirjallisia viestintätaitoja ja oman alan sanastoa.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Ability to communicate in English orally and in writing in various situations in the professional field mainly at the European (CEFR) level B1.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

Ability to communicate in English orally and in writing in various situations in the professional field mainly at the European (CEFR) level B2.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Ability to communicate in English orally and in writing in various situations in the professional field mainly at the European (CEFR) level C1.

Assessment methods and criteria

Itsenäiset ja ryhmätehtävät, tuntitehtävät, kirjallinen tentti, suullinen tentti, opiskelijan aktiivisuus ja lähitunneille osallistuminen.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4)

Opiskelija osaa
a) käyttää johdonmukaisesti alansa keskeistä sanastoa
b) etsiä tietoa alan keskeisistä tiedonlähteistä
c) hahmottaa tehtäväkokonaisuuksia
d) toimia työyhteisössä, asiakkaiden, kohderyhmien ja oman alansa sovellusten ja palveluiden käyttäjien kanssa sekä suullisissa että kirjallisissa viestintätilanteissa.
Arvioinnissa huomioidaan myös eurooppalaisen viitekehyksen taitotasokuvaukset ja niistä johdetut kansalliset amk-
taitotasokuvaukset sekä englannin suullisesta että kirjallisesta kielitaidosta.

Qualifications

If you have been instructed to participate in the Intensive course in English, you must complete it or independently acquire the equivalent knowledge and skills before you can participate in this course.
