Objective
The student knows the principles of a vessel's measurement and control equipment as well as vessel automation systems.
Content
Fundamentals of measurement and control engineering, structures and function of sensors, transmitters, and actuators. Principles of automatic control and control loop tuning. Programmable logic controllers. Automation systems. Maintenance. Requirements set by international classification societies for vessel automation
