Planning and selection criteria of various power engines. Compatibility of various power engines and propulsion machinery. General arrangements for power engines and auxiliary equipment.

Planning of power engines: diesel engines, gas and steam turbines, electric drives. Requirements of power engines for the shaft line. General arrangements.
