Objective

Structure, use, and maintenance of ship's auxiliary engines

Content

Steering gear machines, stabilization equipment, fire-fighting systems, air conditioning and ventilation, deck machines. Energy requirements of auxiliary engines. Maintenance and use in compliance with technical specifications.

Teaching methods

Independent track:
You attend your study in the multi-mode education. Degree of Deck Officer, operational level (STCW A-II/1) OR Degree of Engineer Officer, operational level (STCW A-III/1) OR Certificate of Competency: Deck Officer / Engineer Officer IS REQUIRED.

Exam schedules

Registration to any general exams has to be agreed with the lecturer and exams are to be completed according degree regulation.
