Objective

The foundations of orthopaedics and the principles of orthopaedic examinations. Foundations for advanced studies. Developing theoretical knowledge to form the foundation of differentiation diagnosis. The student develops basic orthopaedic knowledge, knows the orthopaedic procedures as required in the profession, and gains familiarity with multidisciplinary co-operation. The student masters the orthopaedic tests and clinical examination of the patient as well as good consultation practice.

Content

Familiarization with the foundations of orthopaedics. A treatment approach to the illnesses of the locomotor system in orthopaedics. Orthopaedic treatment and diagnostics of locomotor illnesses. Familiarization with rehabilitation after orthopaedic surgery.
