Objective

You are fluent in basic health care vocabulary in Swedish in order to handle field-specific communication and customer service in spoken and written Swedish. You are able to read field-specific texts in Swedish and apply your knowledge in professional communication contexts. You understand the special cultural features involved and consider them in spoken and written work-related communication.

Content

What is the key professional vocabulary you need in field-specific communication and customer service? How do you handle challenging customer service situations politely and how do you take the customer’s cultural background into account? How do you instruct your customer or patient in spoken and written Swedish? How do you look for information in field-specific sources and apply it at work?

a) You can use the key professional terminology of your field systematically b) You can look for information in Swedish in relevant sources of your professional field d) You are able to cooperate with customers, users and target groups using both spoken and written Swedish Evaluation of Swedish language skills is based on the national KORU recommendations for Swedish language studies in universities of applied sciences and the supplementary skill level descriptions.
