Objective

You know how to generally define the concepts of logistics and supply chain.
You know the basic concepts and functions of logistics.
You are able to consider the economics of transportation as part of supply chain management.

How do you define logistics?
How do you define the concept of supply chain?
What are logistic functions?
How are logistic functions evaluated and monitored in business?
Which factors affect the structure of the logistic system of a company?
What are the environmental effects of logistic functions?
How are the basics of logistics related to supply chain competence?

Teaching methods

Scheduled track:
The student proceeds according to the time schedule.

Independent track:
No possibilty for integration

Blended track:
The student can take the course together with an older student group.

The course is common with Logistics Engineering and Business Logistics exchange students and double degree programmes.
