Objective

You can describe the systems of harvest and transportation of energy wood. You can evaluate technical, economic and ecologic sustainability of energy wood production. You can approximate the consequences of policy changes for forest sector.

Content

How to plan the energy wood harvesting site. How do you select the harvesting system. How do you transport and handle energy wood. How do you organise the storage of energy wood? How to organize the Chain of Custody in energy production. How to eveluate investment strategies?

Materials

Material will be given in moodle.

Teaching methods

Scheduled track:
Lectures, excersises and demonstration in web. Group assignments in forest. Independent information searching and analyzing.

Assignments and exam.
Students can:
a) use professional vocabulary and concepts in an expert way in different situations.
