You know the importance of legislation and standards regarding warehouse shelving systems. You know the occupational safety aspects related to warehouse shelves.
Content
- The student recognizes different warehouse shelving systems and their purpose of use
- The student knows the commonly used terms according to the standards
- The student knows how to take the characteristics of shelving systems into account, e.g. in the layout planning of warehouses or production facilities
- The student knows the legislation related to the use of shelving systems
- The student knows the requirements set for the property in the installation and use of shelving systems
- The student recognizes occupational safety risks related to the use of shelving systems and understands the importance of structural safety.
- The student knows the effect of damage occurring in shelving systems on the load capacity of shelving systems and knows how damage occurring in shelving systems is classified according to the standard SFS-EN 15635
- The student knows how to use shelving systems safely according to the definitions of the standard SFS-EN 15635
