You know factors associated with the learning of aging people.

You know the basic principles of educational gerontology.

You know the basics of guidance and teaching of aging people in different situations and operating environments.

You are familiar with the teaching methods and guidance of aging people.

You know the psychical changes related to aging and the psychical and social performance of aged people.

You know the basic principles and areas of study in psychogerontology.

You can analyse meanings of gerontological theories.

You can outline what is individual aging and aging in society and how they interact.

You are familiar with individual aging changes and difference between individuals, effects and influencing factors.

You are familiar with the birth mechanisms, progression, prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of key diseases of the elderly.

What components affect aging people's working and recreation activities?

How is aging taken into account in organizing education and guidance?

What are psychical aging changes and social performance?

Study forms and methods

Opintokokonaisuus muodostuu: sosiaaligerontologiasta, geropsykologiasta, koulutusgerontologiasta, terveysgerontologiasta ja geriatriasta
Opintojakso jakautuu kahdelle lukukaudelle. Itsenäisesti tai ryhmässä tapahtuvaa työskentelyä, luentoja, opetuskeskusteluja, oppimistehtäviä, yhteistoiminnallinen oppiminen.
