Objective

After you have completed the course, you
- have a basic knowledge of the history, philosophy, and ethics of conservation and restoration
- comprehend the principles, resolutions, and key legislation applicable to conservation and restoration
- are able to apply the basis and theoretical aspects of conservation and restoration as well as understand the factors influencing decisions
- understand the theory of museology
- understand the ethical issues and legislation that relate to the preservation of cultural heritage
- identify the place of your own branch in Russian society and in its economic structure
- are familiar with the Russian operating models on restoration
- know the most important actors of the field both in Finland and in Russia; you can operate with a Russian colleague

- What is the history of conservation and restoration?
- How to apply ethical principles and values? What does the theory of museology mean?
