Objective

You can describe societal, social and economic mechanisms of social and health care as well as their connections with the changes of welfare and health policy and strategies.
You can apply current health and well-being information to social and health care management and development.
You can justify and analyze the decisions and their ethical implications and possible value conflicts at an individual, community and societal level.
You can monitor and foresee national and international future trends and developments in your professional field.

What is the essential health and welfare data steering policy and service production?
What are the goals and challenges of welfare and health promotion and their connections with the changes and strategies of social and health policy?
What is included in the politico-administrative planning, supervision and decision-making and how is it applied to social and health care management and development?
What is the legal and ethical basis of social and health care and how do you justify and analyze decisions and their ethical implications taking into account the individual, community and society at large as well as possible value conflicts?
What is meant by international social policy and health care in the EU and what are the effects of the policy on service production?
