Development competence in social welfare (10 cr)

Objective

You recognize areas for development in client work, services and working community and you know the methods of development work in your internship organisation.

You explore the quality system of services and of the working community.

You familiarize yourself with the work of superior and the management system in your internship organisation.

You explore the advocacy work in your internship organisation and understand the meaning of it.

You are able to manage yourself as a member of working community toward wellbeing at work.

You are able to evaluate your professional competence multifaceted and critically and reflect you acts of professional ethics as a bachelor of social services taking account your career plans.

What development areas you recognize in your internship organization’s client work, services and work community?

What models and methods of development work are applies in your internship organization?

How is the quality of the work community and the services directed and evaluated?

What is the quality management system of your internship organisation?

What is the content of supervisor’s work description at your internship organisation?

What are the duties and responsibilities of the supervisor?

How you describe the management system at your internship organization?

In what different ways is the advocacy work carried out at your internship organization?

Why advocacy work is carried out?

How do you use your self-management skills in such a way that it contributes to the wellbeing of your work community?

What strengths and areas of development do you see in your own professional competence from the perspectives of development work, advocacy work and activities in the work community?

What do you consider are most important issues when reflecting on your future career as a bachelor of social services from a professional ethics perspective? Why?

Evaluation

Students can

c. identify interrelated tasks.

d. work together with clients and target groups and assess operations.

e. use the key models, methods and software of the professional field.

f. work as team members in a goal-oriented way.

g. justify their actions according to the ethical principles of the social sector.

Course material

Hyödynnät teoriaopintojen materiaalia sekä itse harjoitteluympäristöönsä soveltuvaa materiaalia harjoittelujakson aikana.

Study forms and methods

Harjoittelun voit avoimen polkuopintojesi aikana toteuttaa oman yksilöllisen aikataulun mukaisesti huolehtien siitä, että ennen harjoittelua on hankkinut riittävän harjoittelussa tarvittavan tietoperustan.

Harjoittelu toteutuu työelämässä sosiaali- ja kasvatusalan toimintaympäristössä.

Timing of exams and assignments

Ei tenttiä.
Harjoitteluun liittyy oppimistehtäviä, jotka tulee palauttaa Workseediin harjoitteluprosessin aikataulun mukaisesti (ennen, aikana ja jälkeen harjoittelun).

International cooperation

Harjoittelu on mahdollista tehdä myös soveltuvassa ympäristössä ulkomailla.

Student workload

5op vastaa 135h opiskelijan työtä.

10 op vastaa noin 7 kalenteriviikkoa työharjoittelua työelämässä.

Course part description

Harjoittelu koostuu harjoitteluun liittyvistä oppimistehtävistä ja käytännön harjoittelusta.

Tämä harjoittelun toteutus on vain ryhmän AVMIYPSOS25S opiskelijoita varten.

Harjoittelun voit ajoittaa oman yksilöllisen aikataulusi mukaisesti huolehtien siitä, että ennen harjoittelua olet hankkinut riittävän harjoittelussa tarvittavan tietoperustan.

Huomioi, että harjoittelupaikka ja harjoittelun työtehtävät tulee olla sellainen, jossa harjoittelun tavoitteet ovat saavutettavissa.

Ilmoita harjoittelustasi viimeistään 1kk ennen harjoittelun alkamista harjoittelukoordinaattorille (Leila Pekonen). Saat harjoitteluusi tarkemmat ohjeet ja ohjaavan opettajan.

Harjoittelun hyväksytty suorittaminen edellyttää käytännössä suoritetun osuuden lisäksi oppimistehtävien palauttamista määräajassa.
