Objective

You know what guides leadership.

You know the responsibilities of a leader.

You recognize exercise in the various arenas of management and development.

You recognize the needs and possibilities of developing of the use of exercise.

You can utilize national guidelines and recommendations of health promoting exercise in order to develop exercise in elderly care management and leadership.

How to implement leadership and development of quality in elderly care?

How to apply legislation in elderly care?

How are national guidelines and recommendations of health promoting exercise implemented?

How can exercise be seen in management processes?

How can exercise be seen and implemented as part of leadership and development of elderly care?

Evaluation

Assessment criteria level 3: entry-level know-how and skills
Students can
a. use professional vocabulary systematically.
b. look for information in the key information sources of the field.
c. identify interrelated tasks.
d. work together with customers, users and target groups.
e. use the key models, methods, software and techniques of the professional field.
f. toimia tiimin jäsenenä tavoitteellisesti work as team members in a goal-oriented way.
g. justify their actions according to the ethical principles of the professional field.

Study forms and methods

Työviikkopohjainen oppimisväylä:
Vanhustyön johtaminen: Opiskelijan tulee olla läsnä ensimmäisellä lähiopetuskerralla jolloin annetaan tarkemmat ohjeet opintojakson suorittamisesta.

Työhön integroitu oppimisväylä:
Vanhustyön johtaminen: Opintojaan nopeuttava opiskelija valitsee opintojakson suoritettavakseen aiemmassa vaiheessa opintoja.

Student workload

Vanhustyön johtaminen: Opiskelijan työmäärä koostuu infotunneista, itsenäisestä aiheeseen tutustumisesta ja sen työstämisestä sekä reflektioon osallistumisesta.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

Vanhustyön johtaminen:
HYVÄKSYTTY: Tehtävä on työstetty ja raportoitu annettujen ohjeiden mukaisesti kaikki osat vastattuina. Tehtävä palautettu määräaikaan mennessä. Osallistuminen reflektiotunnille.
HYLÄTTY: Tehtävää ei ole tehty annettujen ohjeiden mukaisesti tai sieltä puuttuu osia. Tehtävää ei ole palautettu määräaikaan mennessä. Reflektiotunnille ei ole osallistuttu.

Vanhustyön johtaminen: Ensimmäisellä lähiopetuskerralla opiskelijoita informoidaan opintojakson suorittamisesta ja ohjeistetaan tehtävän tekeminen.

Vanhustyön johtaminen: Opintojakson arvioitavat kohteet, menetelmät ja perusteet esitetään opintojakson alkaessa. Annetun tehtävän suorittaminen hyväksytysti. Osallistuminen reflektiotunnille.

Basis in elderly care 20 ECTS credits, Work method basis in elderly care 15 ECTS credits, Promotion of wellbeing and health in aging 15 ECTS credits, Work method's application in elderly care and senior work 15 ECTS credits and Work method's deepening in elderly care and senior work 15 ECTS credits moduls mainly completed Leadership in social and health care 5 ECTS credits
