Community and homecare nursing (5 cr)

Objective

You can plan, implement and evaluate the nursing care using the community nursing methods and the existing information. You can take into account cultural factors in community and meet home care clients from different cultural backgrounds. You are aware of the legislation and principles in home care. You can plan and implement a client-oriented care at home and resources of the client and the community utilizing the use of rehabilitative approach to work. You can plan, implement and evaluate the counselling at home environment. You are aware of the home nurse's duties and responsibilities. You can coordinate the holistic care of the client according to your responsibility of nursing. You know the principles of vaccination.

Content

How do you plan, implement and evaluate community nursing? How do you take into account cultural factors in community and implement the holistic care for the clients from different cultural backgrounds? What are the laws, acts and recommendations of the home care / home nursing? How do you implement nursing at home care? What are the resource-based and rehabilitative approach? How do you prepare the service and care plan? How do you counsel different clients and relatives the special questions of the home care? How do you work as a team leader for home care? How to be vaccinated?

Study forms and methods

Työviikkopohjainen oppimisväylä:
Rokotusosaamisen perusteet (2 op) suoritetaan verkkokurssina. Ennen verkkokurssin alkamista pidetään infotunti, jolle on läsnäolovelvoite.
Monikulttuurinen hoitotyö (1op), ja kotisairaanhoidon (2 op) osuus suoritetaan lähiopetuksena.

Timing of exams and assignments

Rokotusosaamisen perusteiden (2op) verkkotentin voi uusia kaksi kertaa valitsemanaan aikana.

Assessment methods and criteria

Rokotusosaamisen perusteiden (2op) verkkokurssi on hyväksytty/hylätty.
Monikulttuurinen hoitotyö (1op) Työviikkopohjainen oppimisväylä luento-opetus, läsnäolo ja oppimispäiväkirjan pohjalta tehtävä miellekartta. Hyväksytty - Täydennettävä.
